A Response to HOUSES OF IVORY

Updated: Sep 9, 2020

re: "HOUSES OF IVORY", February 28, 2019, Ernie Knoll

"If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, 'Let us go after other gods'--- which thou hast not known---'and let us serve them,' thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul." -Deuteronomy 13:1-3

"'Behold, I am against the prophets,' saith the Lord, 'that use their tongues, and say, "He saith!" Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams,' saith the Lord, 'and do tell them, and cause My people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore, they shall not profit this people at all,' saith the Lord." -Jeremiah 23:31, 32

"And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets." -1 Corinthians 14:32

The article, "HOUSES OF IVORY", works hard to establish a basic premise, twisting and misinterpreting God's Word to do so. This agenda becomes clear before the reader has pursued it very far; and, it is in obvious and horrendous conflict with the real Jesus and the honest, accurate interpretation of the Bible. The agenda is simply this: God can, does, and will change His Moral Law. Great lengths are gone to in order to deceive the reader into believing that God, at times, chooses to change fundamental points of morality, as described in His Moral Law, to accomplish His objectives.

To accept and believe such a premise is to accept the complete destruction of God's Holy Moral Law of Love, His Covenant with His people, and all rational difference between righteousness and wickedness.

Below, we will examine a few of the points used to attempt to deceive people in this regard:

1. "In the ‘houses of ivory’ are those who place themselves on a pedestal above God, above our Creator. They do not accept Jesus and ask to have their sins shown, so they can repent. Instead, they point to you, the messenger, and claim that you are guilty of errors. They detail fabricated accusations." (par. 28)

This is an extremely hypocritical statement. Those who truly place themselves above God, the Creator, are those who seek to destroy His Law---not those who wish to keep it.

The accusations are stated to be fabrications...yet, no evidence is shown that that is true. A mere declaration from a suspect source is supposed to be sufficient?

"If thou shalt hear say in one of thy cities, which the Lord thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying, 'Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, "Let us go and serve other gods"', which ye have not known, then shalt thou inquire and make search, and ask diligently..." -Deuteronomy 13:12-14

2. "No one has ever been able to prove error in the messages, and the heavenly Father has specifically stated that there is none." (par. 30)

Until now. We are commanded by the Father, His Son, and the Holy Spirit to test all doctrine (Isaiah 8:20), all spirits (1 John 4:1), and all prophets (Deuteronomy 13:1-3; Matthew 7:15) by His Word, the Holy Bible. The publicly published message, "HOUSES OF IVORY", directly contradicts the real Father's Word and gives tacit confirmation and approval to the wicked material which has been reported given to specific individuals in private messages.

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." -1 John 4:1

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that, in the latter times, some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron..." -1 Timothy 4:1, 2

3. "This clearly shows that the authority of a policeman is higher than the traffic laws which he is hired to defend." (par. 34)

This is a misleading example when applied to the function and consistency of God's Moral Law. Traffic laws may be changed, permanently or temporarily, due to circumstances without violation of any moral principle. The Moral Law cannot be changed without immediately violating and destroying moral principle. The comparison between a traffic-redirecting policeman and traffic laws with God and His Moral Law can only go so far and remain accurate and truthful. If we try to take it further, we begin losing both accuracy and truthfulness.

Stretching metaphors beyond their honest intention and limitations is a device used to deceive.

"But I fear, lest, by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ." -2 Corinthians 11:3

4. "So, does God have less authority than a policeman?" (par. 34)

This is a misleading question which is based on the assumption that the previous proposal, with its assumptions, is true and accurate---which it most certainly is not.

"Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law." -Romans 3:31

"Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre. Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness..." -Psalm 45:6, 7

"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets. I am not come to destroy, but, to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." -Matthew 5:17, 18

5. "Do humans have the authority to go against what God says?" (par. 34)

This is another misleading question which depends on the reader assuming that the previous statements represent a true and logical progression of thought. They do not, and thus, this question is only a progression of false logic. Logical sequences become lying fallacies if their foundations are constructed from falsehood. Cut the root and the entire weed---stem, branches, leaves, and flowers---will be removed.

Demons enjoy stepping into God's place, pretending to be God, and invoking such doctrine on behalf of their deceptions. Such tactics are as old as paganism.

"This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth." 1 John 1:5, 6

6. "Should Christians who claim to love and obey God disregard His directions?" (par. 34)

...and we continue with the same process as mentioned above. Logical snippets are made to serve deception and lying when attached to a base of fundamental falsehood, twisting information to appear to give credibility to that fundamental falsehood. This is not how our God of truth operates. This is the assault of a deceiver.

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" -Isaiah 5:20

7. "Does God not have the right and the responsibility to change His commands as He sees necessary, in order to purify and perfect the character of individuals He longs to save?" (par. 35)

Here, the vital point of deception is admitted. The goal to which all the deception has been aimed is revealed: 'The Moral Law is changeable, and God will change it as He chooses.'

a) God has already established in His Word the fact that the Moral Law cannot be, has not been, and will not be changed to "benefit" the sinner or change the definition of sin.

"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law till all be fulfilled." -Matthew 5:17, 18

b) Changing the Moral Law does not help anyone to be saved---ever. This is a wicked and satanic proposal straight from the pit. This is the reasoning of Lucifer, and it echoes his suggestions, in Heaven, as he worked to deceive heavenly angels.

"I will keep thy statutes. O forsake me not utterly. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to Thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from Thy commandments." -Psalm 119:8-10

c) God's Moral Law is a description of His character. It is a description of Love. God does not change. His character does not change. True love is always the supreme principle of His Moral Law and always will be. To change that principle would require a change in God's character, and change to Loveless lawlessness. Chaos, anarchy, evil, and ruin would be the only result.

"For ever, O Lord, Thy word is settled in heaven. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations." -Psalm 119:89, 90

8. "Why do some insist on doing their own will, instead of accepting God’s changes?" (par. 35)

God's Moral Law does not change. He does not change it, for anyone, at anytime, for any reason. If it could be changed would He not have done so to save His Son from the horrors of the cross and the second deaths He suffered there?

The definition of morality/immorality does not change, cannot change. God's character does not change. His Moral Law is founded on the principles of Love...and that will never, never, ever change. Changing Moral Law does not help save anyone...it only destroys the definitions of obedience and disobedience and sows the seed of universal evil, chaos, and annihilation.

"And, hereby, we do know that we know Him: if we keep His commandments. He that saith, 'I know Him', and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But, whoso keepeth His word, in him verily is the love of God perfected. Hereby know we that we are in Him." -1 John 2:3-5

In the article, Biblical characters and histories are referred to in an attempt to support the deception. The information is misinterpreted and imagined to show evidence and proof that God changes His Moral Law:

9. Hosea: Hosea's marriage to a prostitute did not break any of God's Moral Commandments. God never forbade prostitutes to marry, or, for men to marry them---except for the priesthood (Levitucs 21). David's great-great-grandfather, Salmon, married Rahab, who became David's great-great-grandmother (Matthew 1:5). Rahab had been a prostitute (Joshua 6:17).

The Bible makes no mention of Hosea being a priest.

10. Isaiah: Isaiah's nakedness for three years was a living example of horror and war-calamity which was coming to Egypt and Ethiopia (Isaiah 20). It had nothing to do with sex, sexuality, sexual activity, sexual arousal, or sexual demonstration. Nothing.

Furthermore, the Moral Law does not forbid nakedness, in and of itself. How would one bathe properly, otherwise? The Moral Law forbids unlawful sexual behavior---externally, and, internally (Matthew 5:27, 28).

11. Ezekiel: Where does the Moral Law forbid cooking with dung---human or animal? It simply doesn't. God neither changed His Moral Law nor did Ezekiel break the Moral Law in obeying God's command to cook his food with dung (Ezekiel 4:12-14).

12. Rahab: God used her as she exercised her mustard seed of faith...and that is not equatable to God blessing, condoning, or approving of her lying (Joshua 2). God did not command her to lie. God did not change His Moral Law to make her lie not a sin. Reading into the Bible something that is not there produces deception. Teaching it to others as a truth makes a person a liar.

Everything everyone did, in the Bible record, was not commanded, directed, or approved by God. People often made mistakes, sinned, and chose their own way, whether temporarily or permanently.

13. Abraham: Abraham was the highest civil authority for his family/tribe/people. As such, he had a sphere of authority to deal with crime---including executing evil-doers when necessary. How did he act against the wicked kings who came and attacked Sodom, etc., carrying away the people captive (Genesis 14)?

The Moral Law says, "Thou shalt not murder" (Exodus 20:13). "Kill" is not an accurate translation. God did not change His Moral Law and order Abraham to murder his son, Isaac. God commanded Abraham to execute/kill his son, Isaac. There is a big difference between the two matters and the Bible plainly teaches that there is.

All murder involves killing. All killing does not involve murder.

The apostasy in the church, the wrongs and sins that are done, the truths of God's Word and the Testimony of Jesus, future judgment actions....not one or all of these things, though true, constitutes a defense or justification for teaching gross immorality and an abominable doctrine which effectively erases God's Moral Law.

Liars can quote the Bible. Liars can quote the Spirit of Prophecy. Liars can quote from these sources intelligently and accurately...until they don't want to anymore. Satan and some of his angels have practiced acting like angels of light. They have studied the Bible. They have studied the Spirit of Prophecy. They have studied how to construct clever and prevaricating arguments by which to effectively erase a particular truth while appearing to uphold it. It is a powerful recipe for deception and cognitive dissonance in the human mind.

"Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! When the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand. And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage. Therefore, thus saith the Lord; 'Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil.'" -Micah 2:1-3

14. "Just as those in the true church are beginning to see threats and promises fulfilled and experiencing miracles, there are those who deliberately disobey not only God’s Commandments but also His new commands." (par. 94)

God's new commands will never contradict His Moral Law. Never. Real "new" truths do not erase real "old" truths. This principle is basic Biblical teaching, not something strange and exotic which needs a thousand words to explain.

"Thus saith the Lord, 'Stand ye in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.'" -Jeremiah 6:16

"To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." -Isaiah 8:20

15. "There are those who are spiritually filthy, reeking from their head to their feet. Yet, they wrap a clean white sheet around themselves and point with disapproval at others. They accuse of nakedness those who are clean, without the stench of sin, covered with the robe of Christ’s righteousness, because they are truthful and fulfill what God asked of them." (par. 95)

This is the same old twisted wretchedness as this: 'You're a sinner so don't condemn and oppose sin.'

"Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew My people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins." -Isaiah 58:1

The robe of Christ's righteousness covers no one in their rebellion, presumptuous stubbornness, and deliberate disobedience to God's Moral Law.

"And Samuel said, 'Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry." -1 Samuel 15:22, 23

16. "Those who have stolen the credibility of the Father’s messenger will receive His wrath." (par. 120)

Those who lie and deceive and commit immoral behavior destroy their own credibility. They have needed the help of no one. Those who refuse to repent from lying will not have a place in God's City. They will stand outside with their father, the father of lies, and receive what they have chosen.

"Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie." -Revelation 22:14, 15

17. “Be it known that you in the ‘houses of ivory’ have stirred the wrath of God.” (par. 77)

Some may seek to slander those who believe and hold to the truth that God's Moral Law does not change any more than God's character changes. Some may try to derogate them by using novel terms of disparagement as they seek to teach "another gospel", blaspheming God while trying to sound holy and heavenly. But, there will be some who will refuse to accept such deceptions, however much the Bible is wrested to fit it, however much the Spirit of Prophecy and its truths are associated to its distortions.

Where do these doctrines of demons lead? We know Satan is planning to attack God's commandment keeping people with Sunday Laws soon. Is he not also going to prepare false doctrines, ahead of time, to supply convenient excuses for disobedience to those who will want them? I have no doubt about it.

There is one word to us from the true Jesus Christ:

"From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, 'Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!'" -Matthew 4:17

"Remember, therefore, from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent." -Revelation 2:5

97 O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.

99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

101 I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

102 I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.

103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

-Psalm 119:97-105
